“Pea Pod Anniversary”

Today’s card is for the Mid Week Throw Down Challenge for Operation Write Home.  The Challenge was to make anniversary cards.

I like to make cards both men and women would feel comfortable sending to their respective spouses/partners.  For some reason, peas and carrots together, ala “Forrest Gump,” came to mind.  I used the punch art technique to complete this card.  The recipe can be found below:

Pea Pod Anniversary

Card Size: A2 5.5 x 4.25

Card stock:  Whisper White, Calypso Coral, Gumball Green, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight

Tools: “Elegant Lines” Textured Impressions embossing folder, “Apothecary Accents” Framelet (bottom sentiment),  Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack

Ink:  Calypso Coral, Old Olive and Crumb Cake, Basic Black  and Calypso Coral, Stampin’ Write markers.

Stamp Sets: “Memorable Moments,” and  “Forever With You.”

Punches:  Heart Punch (carrot), 2″x 1 3/8″ Oval (pea pod), Bird Builder (stems and leaves), Large Snowflake – retired (carrot top), Owl Builder (hearts, eyes, eyelids), 1 3/8″ Circle (moon sentiment).

Additional Embellishments:  “Everyday Enchantment” brad pack (retired).
