Of Love and Valentines

Standard

Been a while since I posted anything.  Busy with my own lack of mojo.  I have been trying to excite myself about Valentines, and have come up with a few OWH-worthy cards.  In my “defense,” it is kind of hard to be romantic when my house is covered with spiders and ghoulish things (Halloween decorations, not the general state of my house).

This first card is for the Our Daily Bread October Challenge; “Sentiments”

The Valentines sentiment I chose for this card is one of the most beautiful Valentine sentiments I have ever seen.  It is rather large, 3 X 3, so it takes up a substantial chunk of an A2 card.  The recipe for this card is below:

Valentine's Bear Punch Art

Valentine’s Bear Punch Art

Sentiments:  Stampendous! “Valentine Script,” Computer generated “Be Mine.”

Punch Art Bear:  Muzzle/Ears (3/4″ circle); Nose/Ear Interior/Paws (1/2″ circle), Eyes/Iris (Itty Bitty Punch Pack SU); Head (1 3/8″), Body (1 3/4″ circle); Feet (small oval); Heart (Large Heart),  All punches used were Stampin’ Up!

Tools:  Framelits Dies; “Circles,” and “Itty Bitty Banners”  (SU), Embossing folder for heart (most textures will work).

Paper:  DSP “More Amore” (SU retired), CS Real Red, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Pink Pirouette, Basic Black

Card # 2 – Quilted Heart

I used a postage stamp punch for the quilt pieces.  I put the quilt together on a piece of printer paper so it would not be too thick, and then ran it through an embossing folder.  The heart was then cut with a Framelit.

Card #3 – Soft Heart

I used the hearts I had cut out for Card #2 to put this card together.  All supplies used for both cards are from SU, either current or retired.
