Vintage Baby Boy

Standard

The most time consuming part of card-making for me, is designing the card.  I have to tweak and tweak till I “smile.”  At that point, I know I am done.  Making duplicate cards is quite easy after that.  Unfortunately, several of the products used in this card are now retired.   Although Stampin’ Up! has wonderful new products this year, I still have my “go to” items for special occasions.  This card is obviously for a baby boy, but the design will work for any gender by changing the color of the papers used.

All of the products and tools listed are Stampin’Up! unless otherwise listed.

Go to my online store 24/7 to have your Stampin’ Up’ supplies mailed directly to you.  Online purchases receive “preferred pricing.”  Just click the Stampin’ Up! link.

Happy Crafting!

“Floral District” Birthday

Today’s post is a birthday card I made for a very special person and friend.  You need special paper for special people.  “Floral District” is the paper I chose.  Floral District is one of the new “Product Suites” offered in the 2012-2013 (page 70-72) Stampin’ Up! catalog.

“What is a Product Suite?,” you ask.   Stampin’ Up! has taken the guesswork out of picking out stamps, to match your “Designer Series” paper, ink to match your paper, and card stock to match your paper.  You will also see pictures of the actual items put together in a variety of ways to give you ideas.  Stampin’ Up currently offers these beautiful “suites;” “Be of Good Cheer,” “World Spectacular,” “Patio Party,” “Storytime,””Floral District,” “Summer Smooches,” “”Birds of a Feather,” “International Bazaar,” “Fan Fair,” “Twitterpated,” and “Comfort Cafe.”

Here is what I came up with for my first card using “Floral District.”   The recipe can be found below.
