This week’s midweek throw-down is cards for kids. I just happened to be making these little ladybugs yesterday, so I was happy when I saw this challenge.
All of the cards shown are using a version of my favorite OWH sketch #29, with a tweak here and there based on the size of the focal point I am working with.
First Sketch #29:
#1 Kids’ Card “Ladybug Hug”
I tweaked the focal piece on this card to 2.5″X 3″ to fit the image better. The image/sentiment is from Stamps of Life “Ladybugs 2 Love.” The paper is from my SU stash. I love this image for paper piecing.
Card #2 – Birthday Basics Candle Card
I tweaked the sketch by moving the focal piece a little closer to the left to show off the candle paper better. The DSP is “Birthday Basics,” from SU. The card stock is “Bermuda Bay (SU).”
Card #3 – Missing You Owl
You have seen a version of this card before, with two owls and a heart in the moon. The paper is from Papertry Ink, ” Summer Camp.”
