Christmas Light Snoopy

On Dec. 26, 2012, I posted a Snoopy punch art card I had created for Operation Write Home.  It was Snoopy lying on his army tent missing those back home.  I have a friend this year who is all things Snoopy at Christmas.  I decided to create the same Snoopy on his dog house with Christmas lights.  The tools used are listed below the picture.

This is a top fold horizontal A2 card.  To create the top of the dog house, I cut a piece of red card stock 4″ x 2.”  I diagonally cut each side of the roof to make the top length of the roof 3.5.”  The base of the dog house is 1″ x 3.5.”  I scored both the roof and the house at 1/2″ intervals to create a wood look and then brushed the edges of both pieces with a light brown (Crumb Cake SU), ink with an ink dauber.  I placed the dog house base where I wanted it and laid the roof over the top and secured.

The Christmas light string and lights are a die cut from Stamps of Life called “christmastree2stamp dies.”

The punches used to create Snoopy are all from SU, most retired:

Snoopy’s Head is the Full Heart Punch.  His leg/paw is the Classic Label Punch.  His nose is a Word Window Punch, or you could use a small circle.  Snoopy’s ear and back spot were created with the wing on the Bird Builder Punch.  Snoopy’s tail is a leaf from the branch of the Bird Builder Punch.  Snoopy’s hind leg is a 3/4″ circle.  All Snoopy pieces were brushed to give them dimension using Crumb Cake Ink and a sponge dauber.  Snoopy’s hat was created with the Hat Builder Punch.

The Merry Christmas sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes; SU.
