This weeks Midweek Throwdown Challenge for Operation Write Home, was to make Christmas Cards. I was hopeful a Christmas Card or two would make me feel a bit cooler, but alas, not even snowy card stock images are a match for the San Joaquin valley heat! I used most of the same supplies for both cards, one serious and one fun! Hope you enjoy!
Card #1 – Fancy Christmas
Supplies used are all Stampin’Up! and are currently available unless otherwise noted, 24/7 at my Online Store.
Very Vanilla and Cherry Cobbler card stock, Pewter embossing powder with heat tool, Scallop Trim border punch. I used a piece of silver elastic trim purchased from a local craft store, for the bow.
These products are brand new this year and will be available in the Holiday Catalog effective Aug. 1st:
Joyous Celebrations and Ornament Keepsakes stamp sets, Holiday Ornaments Framelits, and my favorite, the Holiday Frame Textured Impressions embossing folder.
Card #2 – Fun Christmas
Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Wild Wasabi, Crumb Cake, Naturals White, Basic Black, Bashful Blue, and Summer Starfruit card stock.
Holiday Frame Textured Impressions embossing folder, Labels Framelits die, oval punch, scallop circle punch, Owl Builder Punch, 1 1/4″ circle punch, 3/8″ punch, Scallop Trim border punch.
I used Soft Suede Ink for highlighting and a Basic Black Stampin’ Write marker for the eyes. I used a small cotton ball from a local craft supply store for the Santa hat.
Wow these are wonderfully cute and elegant cards!
Thanks for playing in our Midweek Throwdown challenge at Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps!
