Today’s post is an entry for the monthly “Our Daily Bread,” design challenge. The challenge was to create a card from the “cool color” side of the color wheel, blues, greens, violets, etc…. (see tools for the color challenged below).
Our Daily Bread Designs will pay the shipping cost of one box (about 350 cards), for Operation Write Home to send to our soldiers overseas, for every 25 cards designed for the challenge each month. Our goal as OWH’ers, is to get as many cards made and sent overseas as we can. Thanks go to Our Daily Bread Designs, for this wonderful contribution.
All products used for this card are Stampin’Up! and are currently available unless otherwise specified. You can purchase products online 24/7 at my Stampin’ Up! Store.
All proceeds from my store are used to purchase supplies so I can create and send cards for Operation Write Home.
Card Recipe: A2 5.5 x 4.25″
Card Stock/Paper: Whisper White, Nearly Navy, Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper (retired).
Tools: Curly Label Punch, Large Butterfly Punch (retired, but replaced with a prettier one!), Labels Collection Framelits, Stripes Embossing Folder.
Stamps/Embellishments/Ink: “PS I Love and Butterfly Prints (retired stamp sets)”, Nearly Navy Classic Ink, Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink, Basic Pearls and a blue ribbon (purchased at a local craft supply store).
For the “Color Challenged,” let Stampin’Up! be your personal color coach. This handy tool takes the guess work out of combining colors for your paper creations, giving you both creative and more subtle suggestions. You can find it on page 151 of the new catalog or on my online store item #120148.
Perfect bow and gorgeous ribbon. Thanks for playing in the ODBD challenge!
